Hot Smoked Salmon Makes A Delicious Lunch
Some food need very little doing to it – like this fillet of hot smoked salmon.
Just a quick post today. I’ve been crazy busy at work so my lunch had to be quick and simple.
Luckily, I just received a few hot smoked salmon fillets from Delish Fish. If you are in the UK you might like to check out their fresh fish selection that they can deliver to your door.
If you’re not in the UK, no worries. Find yourself the best quality hot smoked salmon you can find and spoil yourself.
I like to serve hot smoked salmon cold. It just tastes better.
In the picture, you’ll see I served it with a simple rocket salad. I found some great organic rocket at my local farm shop and just had to buy it.
This meal is simplicity at its best.
I don’t mean to inspire you here. I just want to make you hungry.
Serves 4
INGREDIENTS
4 x 150g hot smoked salmon fillets
1 teaspoon garlic puree
A pinch of fine green cardamom powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh red chilli puree
Extra virgin olive oil
Top quality balsamic vinegar
Hot smoked salmon also tastes great stirred into rice or pasta.
Method
Place the hot smoked salmon fillets on four plates.
Divide the garlic puree between the fillets and spread it over the top.
Do the same with the fresh red chilli puree.
Sprinkle with the cardamom powder and drizzle with the vinegar and olive oil.
Serve with the salad of your choice.
There you go. Hope you love this one. I sure do.
In the coming weeks I’m going to be experimenting with hot smoked salmon, so please be sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss a recipe!

I liked it better when the chilli, garlic, cardamom and oil and vinegar were mixed before pouring over the salmo!…. but thats just personal preference
With garlic puree, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar? Very healthy!
