I received my copy of Reza Mahammad’s new cookbook at the beginning of May and can quite honestly say that I’ve made 90% of the recipes in the book. You can read my review here.

If you are a Reza Mahammad fan like me, you are going to love this cookbook. If you don’t know about Reza yet, be sure to look him up on Youtube. He is quite a character and his recipes are magnificent!

  5. Prawn puri would be fantastic to make for my hubby! but I’m sure I’d be cooking up a frenzy with the book regardless of the recipes.

    Got a copy based on Dan’s review. It’s a fabulous book. Got to try some of the desserts as well. Poached pears with saffron, cinnamon and star anise. Not sure about the beetroot samosas, but the Roasted rhubarb and almond tartlets looks great. Might change it and make some rhubarb samosas! Rob.

    I’m quite new to indian cooking, but I’d love to learn to cook an indian dessert, something with fruit maybe. I like strong tastes but not hot, I like spice, but I also like to able to taste the lamb/pork or what ever its made from.
    I love salmon, not too sure if there are any recipes with salmon as an ingredient, but that would be great!

  10. It’s possibly not in the book, but there’s an Indian dessert called Selvia that I’d love to make, its like a milky pudding with vermicelli in it. I used to look after a grand old Punjabi lady and we used to hide in the corner during family gatherings, with big bowls of it!

    I want to be able to make Nehari, a dish I’ve enjoyed in Asian cafes in the Manchester garment district.
    I believe it’s a “long and slow” job, but it seldom appears on restaurant menus, and I’ve been unable to find a recipe.

    Chicken Dhansak is my favorite. I know you have a recipe on here Dan, I just haven’t got around to trying it yet. I notice that there is no sugar in your recipe unlike the Mick Crawford video where the chef puts a load in.

    I’d love to learn to make dishes like Bombay potatoes, Aloo Saag and Aloo Chaat, I think I’m a bit scared to try and make Indian food at home sometimes because it’s a food I enjoy so much I’m not convinced I could replicate the taste from my own kitchen.
